Apply styling products. Avoid leave-in conditions for longer wash & go's. A gel or mousse for our Florida climate. Sectioning the hair will allow you to evenly distribute the product. (if hair starts to dry use a spray bottle or continue styling in the shower
Condition your hair. This is the only time you will use a brush; tangle teaser, wet brush, or Felicia Leatherwood are recommended to avoid breakage. Rinse conditioner out completely. DO NOT remove excess water, hair should be soaking wet.
Once product is applied all through the hair you can now remove all excess water. *If styling for volume, flip your hair upside down & clump curls together then scrunch. *If styling for length clump curls together & scrunch upwards but do not flip head over. After scrunching with hands use a microfiber towel or a t-shirt to remove the excess water.
At this point hair can either be left to air dry, sit under an at home dryer, or diffused with a blowdryer. DO NOT touch your curls until the hair is dried completely to avoid frizz. Once curls are dry, you can fluff out the hair & scrunch to remove any cast. For best results allow your curls to be free & live their best life :)

-Thick: High density (scalp can barely be seen)
Hair Porosity Test

For the best results, wash hair completely with a clarifying shampoo and then rinse. Allow hair to dry completely. Fill a glass with water and get a single strand of your hair then drop it into the glass with water. Watch the strand to see if it sinks to the bottom of the glass or floats to the top.
Results
Low Porosity - If strand floats to the top before sinking
Normal - If strand floats somewhere in the middle of the glass
High - If strand quickly sinks to the bottom of the glass
